This dress is made to order. Please allow 2-4 weeks for a standard size dress or between 3-6 weeks for a made to measure dress.
However, if you need a dress for an event sooner than this please get in touch and we'll let you know if it is do-able.

Due to the individuality of Custom Orders, it is not possible to return your dress for any reason, (especially sewing the dress to the customer's individual size, changing the length of the dress, changing the appearance of the dress, changing the appearance of dress elements. e.t.c) unless a significant construction fault is present. Please take your measurements carefully and check with us if you are unsure.
Cancellations of orders are available, however, a cancellation request MUST be placed within 24 hours of the original order date. After this time, materials are cut and labour assigned to the production of your order. Strictly no cancellations are available beyond 24 hours after the order date.

One of my favorite dresses I've ever owned!! Beautiful fabric and perfect fit. I did the princess cut waist add on and it did not disappoint! Was pleasantly surprised to reach in the pocket and find a matching scrunchie. Such a sweet touch. Already wanting another dress made!

Beautifully made and fit well. I'm just about a true medium and had no fit issues with the dress. I purchased it for my engagement photos and it was perfect. Only note of concern is the upper part is a bit see through so some extra coverage was necessary.

WOW, I've never been so pleased with dresses in my life. This trio of dresses is a vintage DREAM. I'm completely in awe of how precise and neat the pattern placement is, and all the finishing. Everything I've ever ordered is worth every single penny, even the shipping and other costs...this brand is WELL worth it. Much nicer than many more expensive, even some 'luxury' brands I daresay. Yet more affordable than genuine vintage (though just as good, considering the make, the fabrics, and buyers having endless options!) I am ultra appreciative of Marjorie and the talented H&F team, and their kind willingness to accept custom requests. For these, I asked for longer straps to better fit my long torso and box pleated skirts (note there is a small fee for each customization per dress, which is totally reasonable and fair!).

I ordered this Penelope with a couple customizations- I upgraded the skirt to the box pleated and requested longer straps, as the recent Penelopes have shortened straps (6'; full length, compared to about 12'; previously). I chose the Rose print. This dress is GORGEOUS. And the box pleats are PERFECTLY executed - the vintage vibes are off the charts. Will absolutely order that skirt style again, it's a must. The print is really beautiful, I hope it washes well (doesn't fade) but I will handwash in cold water only and no dryer! The straps were the shorter 6' length, but not going to nitpick- I didn't pay for that and when fully extended pretty close to where the neckline/bodice should ideally sit. Depicted on my mannequin, didn't have time to change and remove makeup and all that- too eager to show off my stunning dress(es) ;D
I ordered this Penelope with a couple customizations- I selected the lovely 'I Lilac You Alot' print, and requested a pencil skirt upgrade. I also requested to have the straps lengthened as the recent Penelopes now have shorter straps (6' total length at longest, used to be closer to 12'). The dress turned out beautiful! The pencil skirt is well executed, as in the dimensions are a true pencil (va va voom!) and the design eliminated pockets which is a very smart choice imo (to reduce bulk at hip, as fitted as the silhouette is). The straps were still 6' but I'm not going to nitpick, it's not like I paid extra for it and I think it works with the straps fully extended (the neckline just hits a hair higher than preferred). Depicted on my mannequin as I didn't have time to change or remove makeup - just wanted to get a photo added.
Absolutely beautiful! I have 10+ H&F dresses now; the quality is truly outstanding. I appreciate how well fitted the designs are even without customized measurements; I find the standard size chart is accurate. I really appreciate the various length options a lot! I am 5'6', not tall but my torso is long proportionate to my height and have found regular knee length hits just a bit above where I prefer- the tall knee length is super flattering! I generally choose the Grace style but the Penelope is such a lovely classic. I noticed the straps were a bit shorter than the ones I've ordered previously in the same (M) size, which is a small design change (and no doubt flattering on many, just hits my extra long torso differently). Marjorie was super helpful and amazing when we chatted. I have already ordered more pieces!!

This dress ended up being sold out but the store owner gave me the option of any fabric still at the sale price and I chose the daisy print. The dress came with a matching face mask. Beautifully made and I can see i'll wear this often. Attached a pic
I am absolutely thrilled with my dress. This Penelope dress is in the fabric “Dutch Floral” and is a DREAM! Marjorie was so helpful and easy to work with. Communication was smooth and she answered all of my questions regarding fabric choices and custom sizing. It is such a joy (and a relief!) to have a dress where the waist sits exactly where it should, and is actually long enough for my height! At 5'9”, knee-length dresses usually become mini skirts on me. From the beautiful packaging to the thoughtful note and care instructions, and apropos face mask, I am overjoyed and will certainly be ordering again!
My dresses arrived much faster than expected and they are BEAUTIFUL. I am not confident in measuring myself so I decided to just go with a 3X based on the size chart and I feel that it was extremely accurate. They were beautifully packaged, came with a measuring tape and cute cocktail umbrellas, and best of all she surprised me with matching masks for both dresses which I LOVE. I was nervous because I tend to have bad luck ordering handmade dresses off of etsy, but these are amazing and I will definitely be ordering again. Sorry for the dark photo.
