Washing:

Use cool or warm water (ideally between 30 and 40 degrees Celsius, or 85 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit) and a gentle detergent. Skip harsh chemicals and fabric softeners – flannel naturally softens over time. Wash with similar colors on a delicate cycle for best results.

Minimize Shrinkage:

Flannel can shrink, especially during the first wash. To minimize this, consider pre-washing flannel garments in cold water.

Drying:

Air drying is ideal, but tumble drying on low heat works too. To minimize ironing, remove the flannel from the dryer slightly damp and smooth it out.

Extra Tips:

Flannel tends to shed some lint, especially during the first few washes. Wash with similar fabrics or use a lint roller before wearing.

Consider adding half a cup of vinegar to the wash cycle to help reduce shedding.

Iron flannel on the wrong side if needed, using a medium heat setting

The fabric quality of the dress is amazing. Sadly I should have gotten a custom order instead of a ready made one. While I did measure myself correctly and my measurements matched the sizing, my torso was too long for the dress. So the wear the waist was supposed to sit it actually sat at my ribs, which are of course much wider than my waist. I'm going to have my tailor turn it into a skirt and top combo instead but I am so sad that I didn't consider the length of my torso before making this purchase. That's on me. I do love the pattern and fabric though, it will make a beautiful set regardless.

I've already worn this several times and get compliments every time. The fabric is super soft and the matching face mask is comfortable. The right should keeps slipping down but that is probably more a me problem. I'll be wearing it all season for sure.
