Use cool or warm water (ideally between 30 and 40 degrees Celsius, or 85 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit) and a gentle detergent. Skip harsh chemicals and fabric softeners – flannel naturally softens over time. Wash with similar colors on a delicate cycle for best results.
Flannel can shrink, especially during the first wash. To minimize this, consider pre-washing flannel garments in cold water.
Air drying is ideal, but tumble drying on low heat works too. To minimize ironing, remove the flannel from the dryer slightly damp and smooth it out.
Flannel tends to shed some lint, especially during the first few washes. Wash with similar fabrics or use a lint roller before wearing.
Consider adding half a cup of vinegar to the wash cycle to help reduce shedding.

Absolutely gorgeous dress! I got the custom size add-on and am so happy with the quality of this piece. I've never ordered custom-sized anything and have always been hesitant to spend much money on clothing, but this dress was so worth it. I've only had it a month and have worn it for multiple events! And the matching mask is perfect and much appreciated.
Edit: The only tiny issue I've had is the dress is pilling a bit, a couple months on. I think it's just the fabric, though, because my other HeartsAndFound dresses didn't do that. Still gorgeous, just a bit frustrating since I've been trying to baby the dress to make it last a long time.
